BLOG Post New Entry

First few weeks

Posted by Alisa on October 13, 2010 at 9:25 PM

The first few weeks have gone well!  Otilson and Kenley were playing around and Otilson cut his chin open, was the first to get to visit the Dr. and get some stitches..... :)  He is doing good though.... as you see in the recent picture posted the kids are very happy!  Robinson says he takes them to school on his motorcycle and they love it!  Just like all kids they all want to sit in front!  Never ceases to amaze me how much they are like all kids here in US also!  We will be making a trip into Haiti the first 2 weeks of November...... A team of 10 that has a lot to do in 8 days!  We can not wait to see how the orphanage is settling in.  I'm working to get more information regularly from Robinson. Things are going very well though.  Kids are very happy and Pastor Robinson loves having these kids to take care of!  Blessings to all!

I was so excited yesterday when I saw the new pictures of the children. I can hardly wait to get back there to see them. Pastor Robinson said they ask him almost every day when we are all coming. After being there as Pastor was taking the first couple of children in, as I look at there faces and the see their joy and contentment it makes my heart so happy. I was able to experience that feeling while I was in the orphanage and watching all of them. What a blessing! God has been so good and so faithful! Thank you for keeping everyone updated Alisa!

It is so great to see everyone getting to know each other and settling into the routines of a new home and school. The kids are so precious and so deserving of this chance. I admire Robinson, his family, and all the other workers who are making sure the kids are safe, fed and loved. It is heart-warming to see people who struggle so much themselves but yet are so willing to help others whenever they can. They are the true backbone of this ministry, we are just the lucky ones able to support them along the way. God bless them all!
